In 1980, Randy Smith, owner and president, started Stonart, Inc. with a ’55 Chevy one-ton dump truck and a wheelbarrow. Now, in our 35th year, our team continues to design and create some of the finest residential and commercial work in Tucson and Southern Arizona.

Over the years, the demand for quality masonry and concrete construction in Tucson has varied from a driveway to a runway, backyard patio wall to shopping mall. Through it all, Stonart consistently provides unmatched customer service and quality workmanship with 100’s of satisfied customers. We believe in providing our customers with quality masonry and concrete at a reasonable price. Like most successful companies, our work is generated from repeat customers and referrals.

Our team installs tens of thousands of dollars of material every day. These large volume purchases allow us to obtain excellent prices on materials. We work closely with our suppliers on a daily basis and have developed good relationships that help us on all projects, especially the large or specialized ones. Our competitive prices allow us to obtain a good share of the commercial and residential work in Southern Arizona.

Our experienced field supervisors manage our installation crews, and each crew has a well-trained foreman on site to insure that we produce quality work on schedule. We attribute much of our success to the fact that we hire only the most experienced tradesmen available and train them to our high standards. Our key employees have been with the company for many years, which contributes to our consistency. They stay with Stonart because we offer competitive wages with profit sharing, safe working conditions, and provide them with the support they need to get the job done right the first time.

Stonart owns all of the equipment necessary to complete our work, and our crew trucks are equipped with enough specialized equipment and supplies to meet most job situations. Our equipment yard contains the large items such as scaffolding and forms that are delivered to the job by one of our large delivery trucks. All crews are in constant communication so that all problems are resolved quickly and do not interrupt production.

Our masonry division is able to do everything from residential site walls to large commercial buildings. Our multiple crews enable us to do many different types of masonry work in different locations at the same time.

With both residential and commercial concrete experience, we are able to provide our customers with the quality workmanship and flexibility that they need.

Stonart, Inc. makes every effort to comply with all governmental regulations regarding employment policies, construction standards, and safety regulations. Our safety record is very strong. Each of our trucks features a “safety box” that includes a written hazard communication policy, first aid kit, and other items to protect our people while operating specialized equipment. Our employees work with all inspectors to make sure that we have met every requirement for the project. Stonart intends to remain in business indefinitely and we will not jeopardize our people’s safety, the quality of any structure, or our company by compromising safety. We continually look for ways to improve in these areas.
